Cheeky Torch (Lampworked) Glass Pendants

My favorite lampworked pendants are created using a torch and using the borosilicate implosion technique.

I tend to start with solid clear pyrex rod (although sometimes I'll use medium or heavy walled tube and blow an expansion, dot it, collapse the bubble on itself) and then implode the design up into the piece.

I prefer floral type implosions but will also experiment with floating blobs of glass (ala lava-lamp), honeycombed patterns and pieces that have been "fumed" with sterling silver or high-karet gold.

Pieces usually aren't named until after a name comes to mind.  If I sign a pendant it will be hand-drawing (in glass) the CT Logo (backwards C abutting a sideways T) on the back or pressing in a stamp of the logo (which I had made for me).

CT Glass Pens Taking an example from my About page (sometimes I'll combine techniques) - I'll often use a bench torch to create a base but then incorporate an element into it by where the resultant piece might appear to have been made differently.  Others may erroniously  describe this piece as being fused.

This dichroic pendant is NOT "kiln fused"
